Nottingham Forest team news: Lamouchi has important man back for Leeds showdown

Nottingham Forest welcome Leeds United to the City Ground for a massive Championship clash on Saturday evening and they will be boosted by the return of a key man, according to BBC Sport.

The Reds will be looking to bounce back from their shock loss at Birmingham City last weekend, in a match which if they win, they will move to within a point of the automatic promotion places.

Forest might just be getting Leeds at a good time too, with the Yorkshire outfit out of form and fans of the Elland Road club beginning to fear they will let another wonderful position slip as they chase a Premier League return.

The Reds will go into the contest knowing they will need to be at their best against a team who many still view as the best in the Championship despite their recent indifferent results.

With that in mind, it will be in the best interests of Forest that they have powerful midfielder Samba Sow back from injury for the contest – a man who can bring a calming influence to them in the centre of the park.

Sabri Lamouchi could give a first Reds start to January signing Adama Diakhaby, while another recent arrival Nuno Da Costa is also pushing to be included from the off at the City Ground too, according to BBC Sport.

Forest have a good recent record in home matches against Leeds, a run they will be looking to preserve in front of the TV cameras on Saturday evening.

They have lost just one of their last seven outings at the City Ground against the Yorkshire outfit, and if they can add another win to that here, they will be huge contenders in the race for the automatic spots back to the Premier League, so the stakes are very high for the Nottingham side.
