Nottingham Forest are blocking Aston Villa form making a move for making a move for Joe Lolley, according to a report published by The Daily Mail.
The 26-year-old starred for Forest last season as he went on to score 12 goals and record 11 assists. It comes as no surprise that he is attracting interest from other clubs.
The Reds are reportedly making the move difficult by demanding up to £15 million for the player.
Forest star Lolley is a player who would provide a lot of quality to the Villa first-team. It is also likely that a move to the Villans would be appealing to him considering that he grew up supporting the Midlands club.
Villa have also been linked with the signature of Said Benrahma of Brentford. It is likely that they will only be willing to spend heavily on one winger, with Benrahma possibly being a preferred target.
Overall, Benrahma was slightly more impressive during the past season as he went on to score 11 goals and record 14 assists.
In addition to this, the Algerian has also previously worked with Villa boss Dean Smith at Brentford, meaning that it would take him less time to adapt to the style of play used by the Midlands outfit.
Forest man Lolley also previously had a failed stint in the Premier League with Huddersfield Town so Benrahma is probably marginally a better bet on paper.
Villa won promotion to the Premier League but they do need to make a lot of adjustments to their side this summer if they want to stand a good chance of avoiding relegation from the English top-flight next term.
Forest fans will be hoping that Villa can land Benrahma, leaving Lolley at the City Ground for 2019-20.
