Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Daniel Sturridge’s departure from Premier League rivals Liverpool.
Sturridge is out of contract at Liverpool this summer, and the Reds have announced on their official website that the England international striker will not be at Anfield next season.
The 29-year-old has been on the books of the Merseyside outfit since the summer of 2013 when he joined from Chelsea for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £12 million.
The striker has had injury problems in recent years, but he was an important player in the Reds almost winning the Premier League title back in 2013-14.
Newcastle winger Aarons, 23, has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Sturridge being released by Liverpool and becoming a free agent.
Can’t even front since the 13/14 season @DanielSturridge has been one of my favourite players. Gonna be weird seeing him away from Liverpool fc but wish him all the best for whoever he signs for next

Interestingly, Sturridge was linked with a move from Liverpool to Newcastle last year.
The Chronicle claimed in January 2018 that Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez wanted to sign the former Chelsea striker, but he moved to West Bromwich Albion on loan instead.
