According to The Sun, Newcastle United and Watford are interested in signing Remi Oudin from Reims in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Premier League duo Newcastle and Watford have been tracking the 22-year-old striker.
The report has also claimed that the Hornets’ £7m bid for the 22-year-old has been rejected, with French club Reims looking for £10m as transfer fee for him.
According to The Sun, Reims know that the youngster is keen on trying his luck in the Premier League and hope to start a bidding war over the Frenchman this summer.
The striker has made 31 starts and five substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Reims this season, scoring 10 goals and providing three goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
Newcastle need a proven goalscorer to enable them to compete for a top-10 finish in the Premier League table next season, while Watford could do with a young player who can further their chances of breaking into the top half of the table.
