Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow has attracted interest from Chelsea, who could make an £8 million offer for the star this summer, according to The Mirror.
The 26-year-old has started 20 Championship games for the Tyneside outfit this season and made the number one jersey his own under Rafa Benitez of late.
Darlow joined Newcastle from Nottingham Forest in 2015 but is only now getting a chance to show the St James’ Park faithful what he is capable of.
Chelsea are believed to be ready to offload Asmir Begovic, with a number of Premier League sides interested in the Bosnian stopper.
As such, the Blues are likely to need a back-up to Thibaut Courtois this summer if the former Stoke City custodian leaves Stamford Bridge.
Newcastle are rebuilding a side that will look to finish in the Championship top two this season and be promoted back to the Premier League.
Bentiez will surely be keen to hold onto Darlow, but has Rob Elliot, Matz Sels and Tim Krul on the club’s books also.
