Newcastle United face off against Tottenham Hotspur in a Premier League clash on Sunday and the Magpies will be desperate to record their first points of the season.
The north east outfit have lost their first two games of the Premier League season against Arsenal and Norwich City respectively.
Newcastle will have striker Joelinton available despite the attacker having suffered a hip injury against Norwich City, as reported by BBC Sport.
Allan Saint-Maximin is another player who is expected to feature during the game after he missed the last game against the Canaries.
Steve Bruce will however not be able to call upon the services of Newcastle strikers Andy Carroll and Dwight Gayle, who are out of action due to fitness and injury concerns respectively.
Spurs have dominated the recent meetings between the two sides in the Premier League and won the last four consecutive games which they have played against each other.
Interestingly, the last 21 matches between the two sides have not ended in draws with Spurs winning 13 and the Magpies winning the other eight.
Newcastle must aim to exploit errors made by Spurs on the day. It will be a major morale boost if they can take points from the game.
Taking points off the North Londoners will prove that they are capable of taking points from any of the sides in the top-flight given that Spurs are one of the best in the Premier League.
Bruce’s Newcastle side need to get their first points of the season soon also in order to prove to doubters that they will not be relegation candidates this season.
