Newcastle United are set to face off against Chelsea in a Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
The Magpies will head into the clash as under-dogs against Frank Lampard’s side, who have been playing some impressive football lately.
Steve Bruce’s Newcastle charges will however fancy their chances of getting something from the game, especially as they defeated Manchester United in their final game prior to the international break.
The Magpies go into the game with nearly a fully-fit squad, according to a report which was published by Sky Sports.
Matty Longstaff could be set to be handed a second straight Newcastle start by Bruce after having impressed during the game against United.
The Tyneside youngster is expected to partner his older brother Sean in midfield.
It remains to be seen whether the young Matty will be able to impress again. If he gets overwhelmed, Newcastle manager Bruce will likely have an opportunity to replace him with one of the more experienced duo of Ki and Jonjo Shelvey.
The Magpies have struggled to contain Chelsea at Stamford Bridge during recent years.
The Blues have won their past six home Premier League games against Newcastle and have scored 17 goals in the process.
If the Magpies do manage to record a surprise victory, it will mark the first time that they would have record back to back league wins since April.
Newcastle may have largely been underwhelming but both of their wins so far this season have come against so-called top six sides in United and Tottenham Hotspur.
