Newcastle United are preparing a shock move for Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, according to The Sun.
The 33-year-old is reportedly entering into talks with City about a new deal but is willing to leave the Etihad Stadium and take a pay cut if it means he secures regular first-team football.

Rafa Benitez is allegedly looking to bring him to St James’ Park as he looks to consolidate his squad and keep them in the Premier League after winning promotion this season.
The Magpies are not the only side supposedly interested in the veteran midfielder, with Brighton and Hove Albion and West Ham United also considering a move for the star.
Toure has scored six goals and provided three assists in 28 appearances in all competitions under Pep Guardiola this season, after a rocky start with the new manager at the beginning of the campaign.
A move away from City for the Ivory Coast international would see a seven-year spell at the club come to an end, during which he has won two Premier League titles, three domestic cups and the Community Shield.
Toure would be a great coup for Newcastle if he does decide to leave Manchester as he not only commands the midfield but also has leadership qualities and top-flight experience that would be invaluable for the newly promoted side.
