Newcastle United will be offered the chance to sign Harry Maguire from Hull City during the summer transfer window, according to the Chronicle Live.
The Tigers suffered relegation from the Premier League after a 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace, whilst the Magpies will replace them after being crowned the champions of the Championship.
Maguire had reportedly put his contract talks on hold with the KCOM Stadium side whilst focusing on their relegation battle, however it seems unlikely now he will remain at the club.
Hull will likely want to receive a transfer fee for the defender, who only has a year left on his current deal, meaning he will have to be sold in this summer for a bargain fee.
Rafa Benitez’s men are not the only side allegedly interested in the 24-year-old’s services though, with some of the Premier League’s bigger clubs rumoured to be keen on him joining.
Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Liverpool have all been linked in recent times with the highly-rated defender and the speculation could turn his head.
Maguire joined the Tigers from Sheffield United in 2014 and has made 73 appearances for the club since joining.
