Celtic manager Neil Lennon has told The Scottish Sun that Manchester City-owned winger Daniel Arzani is close to regaining full fitness.
Arzani has not played a competitive game since November 2018 when he suffered a ACL tear.
The 20-year-old, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, joined the Hoops on a two-year loan deal from Premier League club City in the summer of 2018.
The Australia international was loaned to the Hoops immediately after he moved to City from Australian outfit Melbourne City.
Celtic manager Lennon has said that the youngster will play in a reserve game and will step up his recovery.
Lennon told The Scottish Sun about Arzani: “Daniel’s nearly fit. He will get 40 minutes in that and needs match fitness before coming into the squad.”
Arzani is a very good and promising young player who will be an important player for Celtic this season.
The Australian is very talented and is immensely skilful, and once he gets fully fit and gets a run of games, he will turn on the style and show the Celtic Park faithful what he is capable of.
