Leicester City were held at lowly Fulham on Wednesday night, and after the match their supporters were quick to criticise a forward on social media.

The Foxes fell behind just prior to half time when Aboubakar Kamara gave the Cottagers the lead, before James Maddison found the back of the net in the second half to earn a point for the former champions, against the manager who led them to that title.

Leicester went into the match without Jamie Vardy and were sluggish throughout the contest, and in the end were probably a shade fortunate to leave with a point.

Maddison was the hero for the Foxes with his equaliser saving the day, but the attention centred on the man who played more advanced than him on the night in Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Nigeria international joined Leicester at the beginning of last season, but it is fair to say that he has never really established himself either under Craig Shakespeare or Claude Puel, and patience among the King Power Stadium faithful is running out with him.

He had the ideal chance to establish himself in the Foxes first team with Vardy nursing an injury in the stands, but his performance was flat, and he gave off the impression that he was not ready to bust a gut to impress.

Iheanacho missed a golden chance to put Leicester ahead in the first half and his performance dipped alarmingly from there onwards, and supporters were certainly not impressed with him.

It is unknown whether Vardy will be back when the Foxes host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday evening, so the Nigerian could get another chance in that match.

Leicester fans will be desperate to see much more from him if he does feature against Spurs, as they were quick to criticise his efforts against Fulham on social media after the final whistle.
