Jose Mourinho was spotted watching Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Nikola Milenkovic on Thursday night, according to a report by AS.
The Spanish media outlet have stated that the Manchester United manager was in the stands during Serbia’s match with Montenegro keeping tabs on the duo.
The Red Devils are keen on adding players to their squad as they look to improve in areas after a disappointing couple of months.
Milinkovic-Savic is a man that has been believed to have been on Mourinho’s wishlist for a long period of time, but SS Lazio have stated they want a huge nine-figure fee for their star man.
The 23-year-old Serbian is wanted by the likes of Real Madrid as well, however, he is the exact type of player the Old Trafford outfit need to improve their team.
The midfielder, who has only recently signed a new deal with the Serie A outfit, impressed during his brief ten-minute cameo, setting up Aleksandr Mitrovic’s second goal of the game with a back-heeled assist.
Milenkovic, who also plays his football in Italy with Fiorentina, was also thought to have been on Mourinho’s radar, as the Manchester United boss wants to add a defender to his team.
The Red Devils have struggled with centre-backs, however, the 21-year-old has shown he can offer versatility at the back, having become La Viola’s first-choice right-back.
However, Milinkovic has only been in Florence for just over a year, so a move in the January transfer could set United back with a large transfer fee.
