Some Chelsea fans on Twitter appear to be extremely frustrated with Mason Mount’s recent performances, with his latest against Newcastle United seemingly irking many of them once again.
The England international was a starter for Frank Lampard’s side against the Toon Army in Saturday’s evening game, however he found it extremely difficult to get going before being substituted in the second half.
According to data compiled by WhoScored, Mount managed to make an impressive four key passes but Chelsea failed to make the most of them as they conceded a late Isaac Hayden goal to head back to west London empty-handed.
Indeed, the aforementioned passing statistic would perhaps suggest that the 21-year-old had a solid showing that would get fans off of their seats, however it seems many were doing the exact opposite on social media.
A plethora of supporters slammed the £40.5million-rated playmaker (via TransferMarkt) on Twitter for his performance against the Magpies, with some stating that they did not know what he brought to the team, whilst one even stated he ‘has to be the most frustrating player to watch in a Chelsea shirt this season’.
Here are just some of their reactions…
