AC Milan have Tottenham Hotspur attacking star Erik Lamela in their sights and want to tempt the Argentine back to Serie A with a €25 million (£22.4 million) offer according to Calcio Mercato.
The South American playmaker moved to White Hart Lane in 2013 after some stunning performances for Roma but initially struggled for fitness and form in the Premier League.

However, largely down to the impact of coach and compatriot Mauricio Pochettino, Lamela has been much improved in the last 12 months and is now an important part of the Spurs team.
The report suggests that Milan want to spend some of their new riches gained from the arrival of wealthy Chinese backs on the Premier League ace.
Any offer for Lamela in the £22 million range would surely be rejected by Tottenham as they paid more for the Argentina international than that three years ago.
Given his excellent performances of late and his continued importance to the squad, the former River Plate prodigy may well be in line for a new contract at Spurs in the near future also.
