Michael Ball has suggested in The Liverpool Echo that Everton should make a move for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero in the summer transfer window.
Aguero has been on the books of City since the summer of 2011 and has a contract with the Premier League giants until June 2019, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
The Argentina international is one of the best strikers in the world and was a key figure in the Citizens’ league success in 2012 and 2014.
The 28-year-old has scored 11 goals and created 13 chances in 18 Premier League appearances for City so far this season.
Aguero is not guaranteed a place in Pep Guardiola’s starting lineup at the moment, with his place in the team being taken by 19-year-old Brazil international forward Gabriel Jesus.
Former Everton defender Ball has suggested that the Merseyside outfit should make a move for the Argentine in the summer transfer window.
“When players of Aguero’s quality are not getting the quantity of matches they want we should try to snap them up,” Ball wrote in The Liverpool Echo.
“We should learn from the mistakes City made in their transitional period when they came into a lot of money.”
