Manchester United have reached an agreement to allow maligned defender Matteo Darmian to return to his homeland and sign for Inter Milan in January, according to Tutto Mercato Web.
The Italy international right-back signed for the Red Devils last summer on the back of positive displays for his nation and Serie A club Torino.

However, since the arrival of Jose Mourinho, Darmian has found first-team football hard to come by.
The Portuguese trainer plays Antonio Valencia in the position in the Premier League, while young Dutchman Timothy Fosu-Menash has been given a chance to play in the cup competitions.
Darmian is believed to be closing in on a deal to move to Inter, who have started the new campaign slowly under Frank de Boer.
The move is seemingly set to be a loan switch initially that could lead to a permanent transfer if all parties are happy at the end of the 2016-17 season.
