Manchester United are ready to allow fringe defender Matteo Darmian to leave Old Trafford and return to his homeland, with a January loan move to Inter Milan on the cards according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italy international right-back moved to the Premier League club last summer but has found regular first-team football hard to come by.

Since the arrival of Jose Mourinho in the summer, Darmian has been on the sidelines of the action with Antonio Valencia most commonly given the nod to play.
With Timothy Fosu-Mensah also in contention for the right-back berth in cup and European fixtures, the former Torino full-back will surely have grown frustrated at his lack of opportunities to play.
The report suggests that Inter have ambitions of bringing Darmian back to Serie A on a loan deal in January that could well lead to a permanent exit next summer.
The 26-year-old defender is yet to feature for United in the Premier League this season.
