United sent scouts to watch the Scandinavian in action for the Dutch side against Celta Vigo in midweek, with Dolberg hitting the back of the net in front of his suitors.
The teenage centre forward has represented Denmark at various youth levels and is currently part of the under-21 set-up.
However, it will surely only be a matter of time before the Ajax prodigy is given his first senior cap.
United have worked with Ajax in the past and bought Daley Blind from the Eredivisie side a couple of years ago.
The Amsterdam Arena outfit have produced some of the game’s top strikers over the last generation, with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Luis Suarez making their names in Holland.
