Manchester United and Roma have opened negotiations over the potential for Memphis Depay moving to the Italian capital in January, according to Calcio Mercato.
The Netherlands international moved to Old Trafford last summer after impressive showings for PSV Eindhoven but has failed to live up to his billing in the Premier League.

Since Jose Mourinho’s arrival, Depay has been forced to watch on from the sidelines as others such as Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford get the nod to play in wide areas.
The Dutchman has not started a Premier League game this season and it is looking increasingly likely that his future lies away from Old Trafford.
Roma are facing the prospect of being without Mohamed Salah for a month as the Egypt international features for his country at the African Cup of Nations and reportedly see Depay as a replacement.
It remains to be seen whether his exit from United would be on a loan basis or a permanent move elsewhere.
