Following his omission from the Benfica side this weekend, star attacker Goncalo Guedes has been linked with a possible £26 million move of to Manchester United, Portuguese newspaper Record report.
The 20 year-old forward could only secure a place on the bench in their 4-0 victory against Tondela on Sunday, which has sparked speculation that he could be set for a move away from the Estadio da Luz.
Whilst Old Trafford seems to be the most likely destination, Paris Saint-Germain are another team sniffing around the promising winger, meaning the Red Devils may have a fight on their hands if they are to secure the signature of the Benfica academy graduate.
With Memphis Depay’s recent departure to Lyon, Jose Mourinho is sure to be on the lookout for a replacement winger to add to his squad – and the Portugal international looks to be the perfect man to take up that role.
Having been at the Lisbon club since 2005, a move away may prove a tough decision to make for Guedes.
However, if he wishes to progress his career to the next level, then there is little doubt that a move to a club of the size and stature of United will benefit him no end.
