Manchester United have made their interest in Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann painstakingly clear, with The Mirror claiming that the Premier League club have held meetings with the Spaniards ahead of a bid for the attacker next summer.
The former Real Sociedad forward has been a revelation since joining Diego Simeone’s men and is a key reason for the capital city side’s success in recent seasons.

Griezmann also starred for France at Euro 2016 over the summer, with his creativity, pace and eye for goal making him one of the most-feared attackers in the world game.
The versatile star signed a new contract with Atletico earlier this year to end speculation regarding his future but has admitted that he would be tempted to leave the Vicente Calderon if Simeone stepped down as manager.
The report suggests that United have identified Griezmann as their marque signing for next summer’s transfer market and want the diminutive forward to replace Wayne Rooney in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI.
It may well take a world-record transfer bid to pry the exciting attacker away from the current La Liga leaders however.
United have previously signed David De Gea from Atletico and Griezmann has spoken out about his friendship with current Red Devils star and international team-mate Paul Pogba.
