Real Madrid have moved to fend off interest from Manchester United by offering Welsh superstar Gareth Bale a new contract, according to Spanish radio station Cadena Cope.
According to the report, both the former Tottenham Hotspur star and team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo have signed new deals, with the Welshman’s said to be worth in the region of £91-million.

Los Blancos were wary of a renewed attempt by United to lure the 27-year-old back to the Premier League and hope that the signing of a new contract will put them off making any approaches next summer.
Bale’s Madrid career has been largely successful; despite criticism of his form in his second season at the club he has notched 61 goals and provided 46 assists in just 131 matches.
It now seems that he is set to extend his stay in Spain and fans of the Spanish giants will no doubt welcome the news.
United may now turn their attention elsewhere, with The Mirror speculating that Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann is their new number one transfer target.
