Liverpool have had a great start to the season; they currently sit third in the table on 16 points from a possible 21.
The Reds have beaten the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and current Champions Leicester City. Within this great run of form, there have been some clear standout players.
Here we take a look at three players who have impressed the most this season so far.
Roberto Firmino signed for Liverpool in the summer of 2015 and in his first season with Liverpool, the Brazilian attacker struggled to find his game, with only little signs of his class here and there.
However, towards the end of the season, you started to see a much more-grounded footballer who seemed to have found his home.
This season, Firmino has scored four goals and got himself three assists in just eight games. He’s been an exciting player to watch, especially in the final third.

As it stands, it’s the former Hoffenheim star who is keeping Daniel Sturridge out of the first team, with the South American putting in some fantastic performances in big games.
I believe Firmino has finally settled not only in the team, but in the city of Liverpool. He seems to have found a home and now his family are happy, his performances on the pitch have become increasingly better.
Since becoming a Reds player, it’s easy to see that Adam Lallana has struggled to settle at Liverpool and his performances on the pitch had been nowhere near the ones he was doing at Southampton.
In his first two seasons at Anfield, the England international only managed to net 13 times in 90 appearances.

The biggest complaint about Lallana was his lack of goals. As an attacker and a player that finds himself in the box a lot of the time, he fails to add goals to his game.
For a player of his calibre, you’d expect at least 10-15 goals a season. Lallana seems to have really worked on that part of his game, as so far this season he has scored three goals and three assists in the opening eight games.
The England international has proven to be a vital and real influential player for Liverpool this season. He’s one of the many players who seems to have been taken under the wing of Jurgen Klopp and absolute flourish from it.
With a slightly unorthodox deeper role in the Reds midfield three, Lallana has thrived and looks essential to the club’s high-octane style of play.
After last season, the biggest gripe from Liverpool fans was the performances and efforts of left-back Alberto Moreno.
With many experts and fans expecting the Merseyside outfit to sign a new player in the position, it seemed inevitable the Spaniard would depart.

However, he didn’t; enter, James Milner.
The English veteran has stepped up and has filled in at left-back this season and adds so much more to Liverpool down the flank than Moreno ever did.
Milner not only gets forward and can deliver a great ball in, he gets back and defends well. The most impressive stat of his this season is that from left-back he’s managed to score four goals and three assists in just seven games.
The former Aston Villa midfielder is a real leader on the field. While Jordan Henderson is the captain of the team, Milner is always there to keep the team motivated and spark some much-needed determination at pivotal times.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player work harder in a Liverpool shirt than Milner. He gives it his all in every game and has always been one to rely on.
