Spanish publication SuperDeporte are reporting that Liverpool are ready to battle Real Madrid for Valencia teenager Fran Navarro in January.

The Reds managed to lure Pedro Chrivella to Anfield from the same club in 2013 with the 19-year-old making it in the first team last season.

Now it seems Jurgen Klopp is after another one of Valencia’s youngsters, 18-year-old striker Navarro.

Liverpool could make a move for the player in the next transfer window, however, they may face some strong competition from the white side of Madrid.

The Spaniard has played 12 games for Valencia’s youth side, scoring two goals and getting one assist.

With injuries to several players including Daniel Sturridge and star man Philippe Coutinho, the Reds may well dip into the transfer market in January to trying and strengthen their squad and provide some cover for those who are currently out of action.

With Liverpool competing at the top of the Premier League and into the League Cup semi-finals, the good start to the season they’ve had Klopp’s reputation will be a key factor in whether the youngster decided to leave Valencia and make the switch from Spain to England.

  1. You will go far James, you’ve already learnt to plagiarise imaginary stories from other fiction writers on the net. I have a little bit of advice for you and that is Liverpool FC does not discus it’s dealings with the media and if you read on another site that someone from the club has said such and such it’s a lie, as anyone involved with Liverpool caught speaking to the press will be subject to instant dismissal and that is the truth.
