Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will rotate his squad for tonight’s FA Cup third-round match against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.
The Reds are back in action for the first time since their midweek Premier League 2-1 defeat to Manchester City.
Klopp has confirmed that ahead of a busy period for Liverpool, he will make several changes to his starting line-up against fellow Premier League side Wolves.
Goalkeeper Simon Mignolet will replace Alisson to make his first appearance of the season and Alberto Moreno will start in defence for the Reds.
“Yes, we have to (make changes), that’s clear,” Klopp told the club’s official website.
“We came through the intense period now somehow OK, but of course we have to make changes.
“How many I don’t know, but we have to. There is no chance for anything else.”
He will be unable to pick defenders Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, who are not far enough along their recovery programme to play.
Meanwhile, the BBC claims that Klopp could hand debuts to youngsters Rafael Camacho and Curtis Jones.
The former is expected to start at right-back allowing Trent Alexander-Arnold a rest while Klopp could give one of Virgil Van Dijk or Dejan Lovren the night off in central defence.
That would see him playing either Fabinho or James Milner in defence, allowing the likes of Adam Lallana and Naby Keita game time in central midfield.
Up front, he could freshen things up by starting Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi, giving Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane a break.
While Liverpool have not lost at Molineux since 1981, Wolves have won four of the last six FA Cup ties between these two sides.
Predicted Liverpool line-up: Simon Mignolet; Rafael Camacho, Dejan Lovren, Fabinho, Alberto Moreno; Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Adam Lallana; Xherdan Shaqiri, Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi
