Liverpool face Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday at Anfield, with the home side’s title hopes surely hinging on the outcome of the game.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds team will be looking for nothing less than a win as they look to secure their first-ever top-flight title in the Premier League era.
On paper, Liverpool have been better than their opponents this season and they will have home advantage and so will be the pre-match favourites to win this game.
The Reds have won four out of their last five Premier League games and have drawn the other.
Chelsea by contrast have won their last three consecutive Premier League games. If Liverpool are not at their best, Maurizio Sarri’s side could cause trouble against them.
The West Londoners will be fired up for this game as they will be going all-out in order to try and secure a top four finish this season.
Chelsea have a good recent record at Anfield as Liverpool have not beaten them during the past six Premier League games between the two teams at the ground.
The two teams have met twice previously this season. Chelsea defeated the Reds 2-1 in the EFL Cup in September and they two teams played out to a 1-1 draw in a League game played three days later.
Liverpool will be able to call upon the services of Andrew Robertson after the Scot had to miss their Champions League last-16 first leg victory against Porto due to suspension. This means that James Milner can be slotted back into midfield.
Adam Lallana is also expected to return to the Reds squad after having missed the club’s last two games due to a muscle injury, according to Sky Sports.
