Liverpool are due to play against traditional arch-rivals Manchester United in a Premier League clash at Anfield on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds side will be overwhelming favourites to win the game and record their 21st league victory of the season. They cannot however afford to take United lightly.
Sunday’s game marks the first time that Liverpool face off against Manchester United in a league game at Anfield leading the table since September 1990 when they were managed by Kenny Dalglish.
They went on to win that match 4-0.
Liverpool are destined to win the league title at this stage and it will not be surprising if they manage to replicate that result.
United have been inconsistent this season. If the good United turns up, Jurgen Klopp’s side could be given a tough game.
The Red Devils are the only team so far this season to take points of the Reds after having drawn the reverse fixture 1-1 back in October.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will attack and will also be under less pressure to get a positive result from the game.
Liverpool are set to be without the services of James Milner, Dejan Lovren and Naby Keita for the game against United, according to Sky Sports.
The duo of Joel Matip and Fabinho are expected to make a return to the club’s match day squad.
The latter has been out of action since suffering an ankle injury while playing against Napoli in November.
Matip has not played since Liverpool last played against Liverpool in October after he suffered a recurrence of a knee injury during that game.

If United want to stand a chance during the game, they must prevent Liverpool from scoring quickly.
