Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has rejected the chance to move to Stoke City or West Brom on loan for the 2016-17 season, BBC Sport reports.
The France international has fallen out of favour with Jurgen Klopp after a failed drugs test at the end of last season and a number of disciplinary issues before this campaign had started.
With the Anfield outfit signing both Ragnar Klaven and Joel Matip over the summer, Sakho is no longer guaranteed a starting role in the Reds’ team and has been conspicuous by his absence so far this season.

Klopp looks keen to offload the star before the transfer window closes late on Wednesday, but potential switches to the Britannia Stadium and The Hawthorns have both collapsed.
If Sakho is to leave Merseyside in the final hours of the window, a return to France or a move overseas look like the most likely options.
The Frenchman missed out on his country hosting Euro 2016 over the summer and needs a change of scenery to revitalise his career.
