Retired professional footballer and pundit Paul Merson has stated that on current form Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is a better player than Manchester United star Paul Pogba.
The France international was signed by the Old Trafford outfit for a world-record fee over the summer after leaving four years ago to join Italian giants Juventus.

As yet Pogba has not showcased his best form upon his return to the Premier League, with question marks over how Jose Mourinho can get the best from the all-action midfielder.
Meanwhile at Anfield, Henderson is the lifeblood of a Liverpool team that has sparkled this term and looks capable of putting forward a title challenge.
The England international star scored a spectacular goal to give the Reds victory over Premier League rivals Chelsea recently and is gearing up to clash with Pogba as the Merseysiders entertain United on Monday night.
Merson has stated that on current form he would pick Henderson over the Red Devils’ record-breaking star.
“Today, Jordan Henderson,” Sky Sports quote the former Arsenal man as saying when quizzed over the two midfielders.
“Over the next 10 years, I don’t know – it probably should be Pogba considering how much money they spent.
“Henderson has been as good as anybody in the Premier League. Credit where credit is due, he’s been outstanding. Pogba has been struggling.”
The pair’s battle in the boiler room at Anfield is set to be mouth-watering entertainment, with the influential duo set to play a major role in their respective team’s chances of success on Monday.
