Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Tottenham Hotspur’s win against Ajax on Wednesday evening.
Tottenham came from two goals down to get the better of Ajax 3-2 away from home at Amsterdam in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.
The result at the Johan Cruyff Arena means that Spurs have progressed to the final of Europe’s premier club competition on away goals’ rule after the tie finished 3-3 on aggregate.
Brazil international winger Lucas Moura was the star of the show for the North London outfit in Amsterdam on Wednesday evening, as he scored a hat-trick, with the winner coming in the sixth minute of injury time.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will take on Premier League rivals Liverpool in the final in Madrid in June, with the Merseyside outfit also having staged a stunning comeback in the semi-finals.
After losing the first leg of their tie against Barcelona 3-0 away form home at Camp Nou, Jurgen Klopp’s side won 4-0 at Anfield in the second leg on Tuesday evening to go through 4-3 on aggregate.
Former Liverpool striker Aldridge was following Tottenham’s match, and he was stunned at Spurs’ comeback.
