Liverpool fans have been given good news ahead of their clash with Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, courtesy of a post on Instagram by Alisson Becker.
The Reds have been without their first choice stopper since the opening match of the season, but it would appear that he is not only back in training, but ready to reclaim his number one position for the trip to Old Trafford.
Liverpool will head to their bitter rivals looking to maintain a 100% record for the season, a run they have put together despite not playing their best, but with their star goalkeeper back between the sticks it is expected that their better form will come out.
The Reds have had Adrian filling in as an able deputy for the Brazil international, but he is a clear downgrade on a man who is widely regarded as one of the best stoppers in the game at present.
The Brazil international arrived at Anfield at the beginning of last season and played a vital role on his first campaign on Merseyside, one which ended with Liverpool winning the Champions League in Madrid in June.
In all, the 27-year-old has made 53 appearances for the Reds, including that showpiece final last term, and has been a huge part of a much tighter defence since his arrival.
The Liverpool stopper was put on a specialised training plan to get him back in action as swiftly as possible, but has still missed two months with the injury, however that looks to be behind him and he will be eager to make his mark on his return to the side.
That is expected to begin when the Reds make the trip to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, where a win could extend their lead at the top of the table, and put more pressure on their opposition, much to the delight of their supporters.
