Everton were beaten 1-0 by Leicester City on New Year’s Day at Goodison Park and fans took to Twitter to slam the performance of one of their men on social media.

The Toffees had a mixed bag of form heading into the game with the Foxes and would have been looking to make a swift return to winning ways.

However, Marco Silva’s side suffered another defeat and were dealt a setback in their efforts to challenge for sixth spot in the Premier League.

In truth, Everton were poor throughout the game and failed to create a number of opportunities to give them a chance of taking all three points.

A mistake by Micheal Keane in the second half cost the Goodison Park outfit when Jamie Vardy managed to capitalise and struck the ball hard and low beyond Jordan Pickford.

Silva has looked to use a number of defenders in his Everton system this season, however, it would appear that a number of fans do not want to see the former Burnley man in the side any time soon.

Supporters took to Twitter to slam the 25-year-old for his performance, with a number of them frustrated with the display he produced.

One Everton follower had stated that they had felt that he was a ‘liability’ whilst another stated that Keane always had the ability to commit a ‘howler’ when he is on the pitch for Everton.

Here are some of their reactions:
