Leicester City will travel to St. James’ Park on Saturday evening when they face Newcastle United and Claude Puel will have the added boost of no fresh injury concerns.
The Foxes will be looking to get their third successive win in the Premier League following a 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur and a 1-0 victory against Burnley last weekend.
The former Southampton boss, who took over from Craig Shakespeare following a difficult start to the season, has taken the former champions to ninth in the table and will be hoping his Leicester side will continue to deliver the same performance against the Magpies.
Puel will take confidence from the fact that he can continue to select the same side that he has had available for those victories, as he confirmed he had no new concerns at the King Power Stadium.
“No new injuries,†he told a press conference on the club’s official website.
“Just two players with Robert [Huth] and [Matty] James who are not available at the moment.â€
The Leiceser defender has had a troubled time with an ankle injury and underwent an operation to have it sorted in the summer, although he does not appear to be nearing a return to the side.
James has also had a difficult time on the sidelines in recent years and suffered another setback when he picked up an Achilles injury, making him unavailable to play against his former club.
As with Huth, there has been no official date or time frame set for the versatile Leicester midfielder, whilst Adrien Silva remains unregistered.
The Portugal international signed for the Foxes on transfer deadline day but is yet to make his debut for the club, following a 14-second delay in getting his documents to FIFA, making him unavailable until January.
