Leicester City face a trip to Premier League leaders Liverpool on Wednesday evening, but they will head there with the England international Harry Maguire in their squad.
The Foxes are one of few sides to have taken something from the Reds this term, but would appear to be up against it when they head to Anfield, with Jurgen Klopp’s men in particularly good form at present.
Leicester have given some big teams problems in recent times, but have suffered less than ideal results against the lesser sides, so it might be in their favour that they are up against one of the leading outfits here.
They will be boosted by the availability of powerful Foxes defender Harry Maguire, who could feature despite going off injured in the 4-3 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out.
That leaves the Leicester boss Claude Puel missing just Daniel Amartey when he takes his side to Anfield for the big clash on Wednesday.
The Frenchman updated the situation regarding the England defender in his usual pre-match press conference ahead of the game.
“Harry is match fit,” The Leicester official website quote him as saying.
“He will be present. No other injuries, just Amartey continues his improvement. He is in a good way.”
Maguire’s availability will be needed for the Foxes, who face one of the toughest tests of the season in trying to nullify the threat posed by the likes of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
If Leicester are to get anything out of the contest then they are likely to have to find some form going the other way, which could mean that the England man’s international colleague James Maddison could be a key player, while Jamie Vardy will be hoping to continue his fine record against the better sides in the top flight.
