Leicester City are looking to add another attractive Belgian to their ranks this summer in the form of Dennis Praet, soon after signing his international teammate Youri Tielemans, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Foxes are being very active in the transfer market this summer, and have already broken their club record fee paid on two occasions, as they look to break back into the top six in the Premier League.
They would surely not need to spend as much on the Sampdoria midfielder Praet, but the fee would add to Leicester’s growing expenditure.
The Foxes have already shelled out £30m for Ayoze Perez from Newcastle United, and £40m for the return to the King Power Stadium of Tielemans, and were they to bring the former Anderlecht ace to England it could take their spending beyond £100m, having also acquired the services of James Justin from Luton Town.
Leicester are expected to make huge strides in the upcoming season under Brendan Rodgers, a coach who has an aesthetically pleasing style of play, a method which Praet should fit into seamlessly.
The skilful 25-year-old has turned into a very reliable player at Sampdoria, where his comfort on the ball and eye for a pass has attracted the attentions of the Foxes backroom staff.
Leicester are blessed with some fine young forward thinking midfielders at present, with Tielemans recently added to a core unit which includes the likes of James Maddison, Demarai Gray and Harvey Barnes among others, but it is an area of the pitch which needs plenty of depth if Rodgers is to be successful.
There is no doubt these are exciting times for Foxes supporters, and while emulating that amazing Premier League title winning success might be beyond them at present, the King Power outfit are very much on the up once again.
