Leicester City rode their luck to some degree in Spain on Wednesday night but Claudio Ranieri’s men remain in with a chance of qualifying for the Champions League quarter-finals after a 2-1 defeat to Sevilla.

Jamie Vardy’s second-half strike gave the travelling support something to cheer about, with the away goal meaning that the reverse fixture at the King Power Stadium will not be a formality for the Spaniards.

Despite Ranieri’s men rallying from 2-0 down to make the tie competitive, the Leicester fans were not impressed with the performance that Riyad Mahrez put in.

The Algeria international was instrumental in the Foxes being crowned Premier League champions last season, but the skilful winger has failed to replicate his stunning showings this term.

Crowned the PFA Player of the Year, Mahrez has not fired in 2016-17 and as such Leicester are struggling domestically.

The Foxes fans were calling on substitute Demarai Gray to be given a chance against Sevilla, with the African star being labelled as a ‘passenger’ by his own supporters.
