Leicester City were beaten 3-1 by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night and fans were disappointed with the performance of one of their stars on the night.
Claude Puel’s side started the game well and found themselves in front in the first half when Ben Chilwell managed to get down the left and saw his cross attempt put into the net by Hector Bellerin.
However, the Foxes were pegged back just before the half-time whistle when Mesut Ozil levelled the tie with a fine goal.
Leicester would have been looking to continue with the performance they had displayed in the opening 45 minutes, however, things fell a little flat.
Arsenal took full advantage of their poor showing and Pierre-Emerick Aubayemang netted a brace when he came on as a second-half substitute.
Things may have been different for the Foxes when they were denied what looked a clear penalty when Rob Holding handled the ball in the area.
However, Puel’s side will now look to the game against West Ham United next weekend at the King Power Stadium.
Fans will be expecting a better performance from their side and judging by their reactions on Twitter, from one man in particular.
James Maddison has impressed for the club since his summer move from Norwich City, earning himself an England call-up in the recent international break.
Although he looked bright in the first half, he did not have the best of showings in the latter stages at the Emirates Stadium on Monday and fans mentioned that they had expected to see more from him.
Here are some of their reactions:
Exactly Maddison wasn’t great and looked knackered, Iheanacho offered nothing second half and then he changed to a 4 at the back to try and get back in it

Is Maddison capable of playing for 90 minutes? He never has. #lcfc

He gets nothing… Maddison doesn’t provide anything for him and Vardy doesn’t chase like he used to. Sad to see him like this.

Vardy hasn't been on it tonight so far, Maddison getting kicked about. And we're lacking a ball player at CM Mendy is great so is N'didi but we're lacking a crafter in there. And we keep making mistakes, poor headers, and Evans is not a ball player 🙄

You’ve confused me mate. Let’s leave it as TONIGHTS game Maddison wasn’t physical enough and backed out of tackles. Your only as good as your last game

Chilwell really gave his all. Maddison had a good first half but was kept quiet in the second. Kasper stopped it becoming embarrassing. Amartey has qualities but switched off at inopportune moments where he could have made the difference. Ghazal looks really short on confidence.

I miss @Iborra_Vicente sometimes you just need someone to put a foot on the ball. Maddison went missing again.

And frankly i dont get why iborra didn't play at least a little. Ghezzal didn't do much, and Maddison was a bit too pedestrian in the second half. Plenty of work to do and a great opportunity for three points against west ham.

Tbf Maddison hasn’t been in the game in the second half…
