Leicester City are ready to make an audacious bid to sign out-of-favour Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, according to The Sun.
The England international has been banished to the shadows of the Etihad Stadium squad by Pep Guardiola and is currently on loan at Italian side Torino for the campaign.
With talk that Hart is set to leave the Premier League title hopefuls on a permanent basis this summer, Leicester are reportedly eyeing up a bid.
The report suggests that Claudio Ranieri’s men are concerned that current number one Kasper Schmeichel could well he eyed by City as a possible new custodian in Manchester.
If this does eventuate, Leicester are said to be ready to offer Hart regular first-team football and the chance to rebuild his Premier League reputation at the King Power Stadium.
The former Shrewsbury Town stopper has been in excellent form for Torino in Serie A and has regained his place in the England national team despite being surplus to requirements at City.
