Last season’s Premier League champions Leicester City head into this match having won their first-ever Champions League match impressively, beating Club Brugge 3-0 in Belgium on Wednesday night.

In the league though, the Foxes were humbled 4-1 by Liverpool in last weekend’s Premier League fixture and have won just one game so far this season (2-1 vs Swansea), having lost 2-1 to Hull City in their opening game and drawing 0-0 against Arsenal in the other one.

Top-flight newcomers Burnley surprised many with their 2-0 win over Liverpool three weeks ago, but have only managed to take a point out of their other three fixtures after their 1-1 draw against Hull last weekend.

Claudio Ranieri’s men will be boosted by the possibility that defenders Jeff Schlupp and Danny Simpson, and midfielder Nampalys Mendy, may be fit enough to return to first-team action this weekend.

Burnley have a fully fit squad, minus long term absentee Ashley Barnes as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.

The Foxes may hand a Premier League debut to record signing Islam Slimani in this fixture as he starred in the club’s 3-0 win over Brugge in midweek.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche may hand midfielder Jeff Hendrick his full debut after he impressed against Hull last Saturday.

The key battle in this one could be Danny Drinkwater against Stephen Defour, as both players will be looking to cut down the opposition’s attacks in the heart of the midfield, whilst also setting up attacks of their own.

Leicester will be the favourites to take all three points at the King Power Stadium and they’ll be looking to put a winning streak together.

Burnley will come out fighting though, so expect a close encounter.
