Leeds United welcome Derby County to Elland Road on Friday evening in a crucial clash at the top of the Championship table, and could be without one of their star men.
Pablo Hernandez has been key for Marcelo Bielsa during the current campaign, however according to BBC Sport the attacking midfielder is facing a late fitness test.
This season the Leeds star has found the net seven times in his 19 appearances, however the 33-year-old hasn’t scored in his last six outings.
Bielsa is set to welcome back Liam Cooper to his side though, as the defender is tipped to return from a knee injury.
Leeds will definitely be without Patrick Bamford, as the striker remains sidelined with a knee problem, while midfielder Izzy Brown continues to nurse a hamstring injury.
The Yorkshire outfit are currently two points clear at the top of the Championship table, and will be looking to extend that advantage before Norwich feature on Saturday.
If Leeds do come away with all three points on Friday evening, it will be the first time they have completed a league double over Derby since the 2001/02 season, following their 4-1 victory at Pride Park back in August.
Bielsa’s opponents have a favourable record at Elland Road, having won five times out of their last nine visits, losing on just two occasions during that time.
Leeds could be forced to call upon the heroics of Kemar Roofe if they are to pick up three points, as the striker has scored seven winning goals in the Championship so far this season.
Their late heroics have helped cement their place at the top of the table, and the Elland Road faithful will be hoping their team can hold onto that spot and move closer to a return to the Premier League.
