According to The Daily Mail, Manchester United have beaten Newcastle United and Everton to the signature of Swansea City winger Daniel James.

ESPN FC have reported of interest in the 21-year-old winger from Leeds United and Brighton and Hove Albion, but it has been claimed that United have agreed a fee with the Swans over the transfer of the Wales international winger.

Both ESPN FC and The Daily Mail have claimed that the transfer fee that the Red Devils will have to pay for the youngster this summer is £15 million.

The Daily Mail has reported that United offered the most attractive fee and wages among the clubs interested in the Welshman.

James was superb for Swansea in the Championship this season, and the 21-year-old’s performances were truly eye-catching.

According to WhoScored, the Welshman made 28 starts and four substitute appearances in the Championship for the Swans this season, scoring four goals and providing seven assists in the process.
