Leeds United will host Middlesbrough at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon in Garry Monk’s first game back at his former club, and the Whites will be able to select from a fully-fit squad, according to a match preview by Sky Sports.
Thomas Christiansen will be looking for his side to end a horrible run of form that has seen his team lose six straight ties in their last seven fixtures and is expected to finally be able to make any selection he wants.
That includes Leeds striker Caleb Ekuban, as he has recovered from the broken foot he sustained in August, in his second game ever for the club.
The former Chievo forward joined the Whites in the summer and started off in good form, however, he suffered a serious foot injury during their win against Preston North End and has not featured since.
Christiansen will be hoping it is not too long before he is back amongst the goals, as his Leeds side have struggled to find the back of the net and have slumped to tenth in the Championship, following an impressive start to the campaign.
Stuart Dallas would have been considered a doubt heading into Sunday’s tie with Boro after he picked up a minor problem during the international break.
The winger was on duty with Northern Ireland as they looked to progress to the World Cup finals in Russia, however, they were dumped out over the two-legs in rather controversial circumstances.
However, it is thought the knock Dallas received during the qualifiers is not too serious and should be available for selection, as Leeds look to continue their good run of form over Sunday’s opponents.
The Whites have not been beaten at home by Monk’s side in their last four league matches, having won the three and drawing the latest meeting.
