Chris Wood of Leeds United has been named the PFA Fans’ Championship Player of the Month for March, as voted for on Sky Sports.
The 25-year-old bagged four goals last month and took the award ahead of Aston Villa’s Jonathan Kodjia and Helder Costa of Wolverhampton Wanderers, who finished second and third respectively.

Wood only featured in three matches last month as manager Garry Monk chose to rest him for the away trip to Fulham, in which Leeds were denied a victory thanks to a last-minute strike from the hosts’ Tom Cairney.
However, he still found the net four times with braces against Birmingham City and, crucially, Brighton & Hove Albion in a 2-0 win.
That took his tally to 24 in the league this term in what has been a successful campaign thus far for the Yorkshire side.
Much of the credit must go to boss Monk, who has injected new life into the sleeping giant and looks set to lead them to the play-offs in his first season at the helm.
Leeds were sitting fourth before last weekend’s round of fixtures, but a defeat away at Reading allowed their opponents to leapfrog them in the table.
Despite the setback, United still have a six-point cushion to seventh place and maintain hopes of a return to the Premier League after 13 years away.
