Leeds United’s unfinished article Hadi Sacko could be worth up to £20 million and has impressed so far this season for Garry Monk’s side, according to a former player.

The 22-year-old, who is currently on a season-long loan from Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon, has played a key part in the Whites’ push for promotion this term and aided in his team’s drive up to fifth in the Championship table.

After the Yorkshire club’s bounce-back – in which they earned three points in a 2-1 victory over Bristol City following two successive defeats, an ex-striker was keen to complement the Frenchman’s talents, and dubbed him as a multi-million pound player.

“We see the good and the bad with Sacko every single game but he brings so much energy down the flanks when he links up with others”, former goalscorer Noel Whelan told BBC Sport.

“Sacko is not the overall player, I understand that – he’d be worth £20 million otherwise.

“We’ve seen his decision-making let him down sometimes – you don’t mind players taking a shot as long as they make the keeper work. But he does amazing things on the wings.”

Sacko played a full 90 minutes in a much needed win for Leeds over the Robins which keeps the sleeping giants with a comfortable cushion of six points within the play-off places, and just four points behind third place Huddersfield Town.
