Leeds United picked up a point at rivals Millwall on Saturday afternoon, and after the match it was a Manchester City loanee who was the centre of attention when the Whites fans logged onto social media to react to the encounter.

Things were beginning to look bleak for Marcelo Bielsa’s men as they were heading towards a first Championship defeat of the campaign, but Jack Harrison popped up with his first goal for the club in the final minute to salvage a potentially valuable draw.

Leeds took the Manchester City winger on loan for the season prior to the transfer window closing and after a few matches to get used to his new side and the different style they play, he certainly rewarded the Yorkshire outfit at The New Den on Saturday.

The Whites fell behind early in the second half in London when Ged Wallace gave Millwall the lead, and with time running out the unbeaten run for Bielsa’s men looked to coming to an end.

Harrison had other ideas though as his first goal in English football spared Leeds from a defeat and kept them on top of the Championship table.

With the likes of Kemar Roofe, Patrick Bamford and Pablo Hernandez missing for the Whites, they needed someone to step up in the forward areas and make a positive impact, which is exactly what the England under-21 international did.

He scored the equaliser and was as much of a threat for Leeds as anyone on the day, giving out a semblance of hope that the Yorkshire side can cope without their star names.

After the match, the Whites supporters were quick to praise the attacker on social media as well as congratulate him on his first goal for the club, one they hope is the first of many.
