Leeds United continued their unbeaten start to the 2017/2018 season with a 2-0 victory over Birmingham City on Tuesday evening, with one man in particular impressing fans.

Thomas Christiansen has led the Elland Road outfit to the top of the Championship table for the first time in 13 years, however, the manager is still insisting that there is a lot to be done and the praise will be accepted when it is deserved.

Leeds were considered fortunate to have recorded a victory over their opponents, with Samuel Saiz bagging his sixth goal of the season during the first half.

Northern Ireland international Stuart Dallas, who had started the game on the substitute’s bench, had consolidated all three points by firing a low finish in the final minute of the fixture.

Harry Redknapp and Birmingham will be aggrieved that they did not get anything out of the game, however, that will not matter to the Leeds faithful, who are delighted the club are at the top of the tree.

Many of the club’s supporters would have been wishful that their side could make a real challenge for promotion this season, having seen plenty of new arrivals at Elland Road this summer, although, the majority would not have believed it to happen so soon.

Saiz, who was a new acquisition during the transfer window, is one to have continued to impress following his arrival from Huesca and Leeds fans took to Twitter to praise his performance in the victory.

The Spanish forward’s work rate and effort have already endeared himself to the Yorkshire outfit, with many lauding his ability and hoping he continues to take them a step closer to the Premier League.
