Leeds United fans have made their desire for defender Kyle Bartley to join the Championship side permanently clear over recent weeks, with his parent club Swansea City’s Premier League status confirmed on Sunday.

Crystal Palace beating Hull City meant the Tigers will drop out of the top fight, with the Welsh side staying up after a 2-0 win at Sunderland on Saturday.

Bartley spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan at Leeds and was an impressive performer for Garry Monk’s men, who agonisingly missed out on the Championship top six.

The 25-year-old only has 12 months left on his current deal at Swansea and as such faces an uncertain immediate future.
