Marcelo Bielsa looks set to delight Leeds fans further by dipping into the loan market once more.
A swoop for Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic is planned according to The Yorkshire Post.
The Serbian impressed while on loan at Cardiff City last season, helping to steer the Bluebirds to automatic promotion, under the wily Neil Warnock.
Liverpool have a medley of midfield options this season, having added Fabinho, while Naby Keita arrived to join Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Georginio Wijnaldum and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who is currently injured.
As a result, his chances of playing are once again limited this season, though Jurgen Klopp will be encouraged that that the 22-year-old could improve significantly at Elland Road.
Bielsa’s style of high intensity pressing and relentless attacking football is almost a carbon copy of the Reds’ boss and the benefits of a loan move to West Yorkshire should be clear to the German.
Another midfielder is on the priority list for Leeds’ new boss, with Adam Forshaw out with an injury, while the need for rotation will be evident this term as the Championship campaign unfolds.
Grujic will add more steel to the ranks for Bielsa’s squad and his promotion experience will prove useful to the Whites, should a move be agreed.
