Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has played down the latest rumours about his future by claiming he is very happy where he is.
The Argentine has repeatedly been linked with moves elsewhere, in particular Manchester United and Real Madrid, but recently committed his future to Spurs.
Pochettino signed a five-year contract in the summer which would take his time with Tottenham to nine years in total.
And before the Spanish giants appointed Zinedine Zidane to replace Santiago Solari earlier this month, the Spurs boss was once again facing questions about his future.
However, as he prepares to lead his side against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals, Pochettino has given another assertion that he will not be leaving North London any time soon.
“I am very happy at Tottenham,” he told Sky Sports.
“I have four more years on my contract.
“Maybe 99 percent of my colleagues have a different mindset.”
Pochettino added that he is still very much enjoying his time with Tottenham but at the same time is not looking too far ahead.
“I enjoy it day by day and whatever happens tomorrow will be a consequence of today.
“But I don’t look too far ahead of think very long term.
“When I signed my contract, I did it because I was happy.”
His comments will please Tottenham fans, who are now looking forward to moving into their new stadium early next month.
If Pochettino stays true to his word and remains in charge for the foreseeable future, they will have more to smile about.
However, it will be no surprise if he continues to be linked to other jobs as long as he continues to impress at the helm for Spurs.
