Tony Pulis predicted on EFL on Quest (09:40pm, November 9, 2019) that Patrick Bamford will score five goals in the next five games for Leeds United.
Pulis worked with Bamford at Middlesbrough, and he has spoken highly of Bamford, claiming that the former Nottingham Forest and Chelsea prospect has everything to be a top player.
Pulis said about Bamford on EFL on Quest (09:40pm, November 9, 2019): “I had Patrick at Boro, he’s a smashing lad, I have got a lot of time for Patrick.
“He is a bit laid back at times. But I tell you what he can play. He has everything, everything to be a top player – his record shows that [scores in streaks], he can go on and score five in the next five for Leeds. He is a very, very good player and he works very hard.
“I know people have been moaning and groaning that he hasn’t scored enough goals, but he does a lot and he contributes a lot to the team.”
Back among the goals
Bamford had been struggling for goals in recent weeks, but the 26-year-old found the net on Saturday afternoon.
The Englishman scored from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark to help the Whites to a 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road in the Championship.
